If words could bleed, they wouldn’t always come out as sentences.
Some would drip quietly the ones we never said because pride held our tongue. Some would spill fast anger, sharp and unfiltered, the kind that doesn’t ask for permission. And some would just sit there, thick and heavy, unreadable even to the one who wrote them.
We often think language is harmless because it doesn’t bruise skin. But words don’t need flesh to wound. They settle in memory, replay in silence, and return at the worst ti…

Tell me you're healing without saying you're healing.
I'll start:
"I no longer feel the need to explain every version of my story."
There was a time I carried evidence for every wound.
Now, I let people keep the stories they created about me.
Not because they were right.
But because my peace has become more important than being understood. ✨

I don’t really trust people.
Because it is one thing to trust,
and another thing entirely for someone to hold that trust gently.
Some people are just like buckets with holes beneath them.
No matter how carefully you pour your heart in,
something always leaks out.

If it is meant for you, it will stay,
No matter the distance that stands in the way.
Through seasons of silence, through nights cold and blue,
What truly is destined will still reach you.
Not every blessing arrives on time,
Some bloom slowly like unfinished rhyme.

Not just one day marked in a year,
when a mother’s love was always already here.

Another Monday morning starts,
With sleepy eyes and heavy hearts.
The alarm rings out, the darkness fades,
But tiredness still refuses change.
Back to classes, crowded halls,
Late assignments, endless calls.

This morning came quiet, gentle and slow,
Like it understood the things I don’t show.
The sun touched softly against my skin,
As if asking me where I had been.
I stared at the ceiling for quite a while,
Too tired to fake another smile.

My heart aches loud with things I cannot fight,
Like trying to breathe in rooms without light.
Why can’t I be seen, why can’t I be understood,
When all I’ve ever done is try to be good?
I reach for a life that feels like it’s mine,
But the walls close in, drawing invisible lines.

I think some versions of me are still alive somewhere.
Not in a poetic way.
I mean literally… still making choices I didn’t make.
There’s a version of me that said what I swallowed.
One that left before it hurt.
One that stayed and ruined everything just to feel something real.

Unanswered duas were just opportunities for me to keep coming back and talking to Allah.
I prayed Tahajjud and they said the duas were like an arrow that wouldn’t miss its target. I questioned what was wrong with my aim - where did my arrows go? did they fall short in the distance between the heavens and the earth?
I was so busy worrying about my arrows that I forgot who handed me the bow.

I used to think closure came from explanations,
from words, from finally understanding why things happened the way they did.
But some endings don’t come with answers.
Just silence… and a version of you left to make sense of it alone.
So I learned something softer, and harder…
closure is not always given.

I outgrew the version of me that kept choosing people who didn’t choose me.
The one who waited, who overgave, who kept hoping things would change.
Now, I choose differently.
Not because I stopped loving deeply,
but because I finally learned that I deserve to be met there too.

There are days when you don’t feel like talking, explaining, or even pretending. You just exist quietly carrying things you can’t fully name.
And somehow, you still show up. Still reply. Still smile when needed. Still move through life like nothing is heavy.
But I hope you know this: being “fine” all the time was never the requirement. You are allowed to be tired. You are allowed to pause. You are allowed to not have it all together and still be worthy of gentleness.
Some days are just survival, and that is enough.
5
If this sits with you quietly, pass it on someone else might be surviving in silence too.
I hope that, for the amount of grief you have endured, you experience twice as much love

The day folds quietly into the night,
and everything I couldn’t say settles gently in my chest.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll find the words.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll be braver.
For now, I let the silence hold me…
soft, forgiving, enough.

I woke up… and for a second, I forgot who I was supposed to be today.
Not completely just enough to feel light.
No expectations, no pressure, no silent checklist waiting for me to catch up.
Then it all came rushing back.
The messages I haven’t replied.
The plans I said I’d start.
