Red, White & Bleu Board
Your go-to July 4th Charcuterie Recipe
If there is ONE board you make this July 4th Weekend, please, please let it be this one.
Meet the Red, White & Bleu Board 🇺🇸 (yes, bleu, because we’re putting bleu cheese on it and I will simply never pass up a good cheese pun)
Here’s the breakdown:
- Red: raspberries, strawberries, pomegranates and salami
- White: white cheddar cubes, manchego and the cutest little cheese stars (I used cookie cutters and white sliced American cheese to make these)
- Bleu: blueberries, blackberries AND of course, bleu cheese
And the best part: it comes together in about 15 minutes. Let’s make it together.
Here’s everything I used:
Ingredients
- White cheddar (cubed)
- Manchego
- Bleu cheese crumbles
- White American cheese for the star cutouts
- Italian dry salami
- Prosciutto
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
- Strawberries
- Pomegranate
- Honey
- Fresh rosemary
Materials
- Round marble board
- Your favorite crackers
- Honey jar & dipper
- Cheese knife
- A mini star cookie cutter
Step 1: Start with your cheeses
I always start with placing my cheese because it takes up the most real estate on the board (and acts like a little anchor for everything else). I placed a cluster of white cheddar cubes up top and a manchego zipper closer to the base.
Step 2: Add your bleu cheese + your meats
Next I crumbled bleu cheese into its own little pile on the left, then layered in the meats. Along the edge I did my signature salami links (folded little ribbons of salami, my favorite technique on basically every board I make) and tucked a little prosciutto fan into the middle.
Step 3: Pile in the red & blue fruit
Now for the color! I clustered blueberries and blackberries on one side, raspberries and strawberries on the other, and used pomegranates to fill the gaps and tie it all together.
Step 4: The cheese stars
Just press a mini star cutter into a slice of white cheese and set them right on top of the salami. It takes two minutes.
Step 5: Finish with honey + herbs
Home stretch! I nestled a little honey jar and dipper right in the center and tucked sprigs of fresh rosemary into any last gaps to make the whole thing feel lush and finished 🌿
& that’s it!! Your Red, White & Bleu Board is ready for its big patriotic debut!!!
