# The FreeWrite: Week 52 Prompt

Hi Friends!

This is week number 52 which means I’ve shared a year’s worth of prompts 🎉 Technically the year mark was on June 5th but I missed a couple of weeks because sometimes life is just…life 😅. I want to say thank you for being with The FreeWrite for a year 💜 Now, let’s get into it!

**This week’s prompt: How long does it actually take?**

Back in my tik tok scrolling days I followed a creator, [Christi Newrutzen](https://www.tiktok.com/@christinewrutzen), who posted a series called, “How long does it actually take?”. She would see how long it actually took to do the tasks she had been putting off for weeks, months, years even. This phrase really stuck in my head and changed the way I approached some of the tasks I had been putting it off. I’d walk into the kitchen and see the full sink and hear her voice going, _how long does it actually take?_ and then I’d do it. Magic. This week, I invite you to examine something you’ve been putting off. Whether its a chore, a conversation, scheduling an appointment…anything you’ve been passing off for later. What is the block? What physical sensations come up when you think about it? How many steps would it take? Is there something that would make it easier? And if you really thought about it, how long would it actually take? Go forth and write, friends!
