### banking on words

**This week’s prompt is a word bank:**

**hello | contains | comfort | private | mundane | lip | move | star | heal | show**

These are words that appear in random texts around me; a mini zine cover, a browser tab, a chapbook title, an oracle deck box design, etc. There’s no real direction I am sending us in today. Just let the words do what they do. Use them all. Use some. Use none. Use them in order. Work backwards. Hop around. This is all about figuring out how to make something out of what at first appears to be a whole lot of nothing. Go forth and create!

[Talicha J.](https://www.instagram.com/talichajpoetry) is a Black queer poet, teaching artist, and Pushcart Prize and Best of Net nominee. She was a 2024 Collaborating Fellow at The Poetry Lab.
