Binary thinking is one of the most expensive habits of the human mind. It hands us clean either/or rules, replaced or safe, hype or revolution, human or machine, in a world that runs on gradients. The current conversation about AI is built almost entirely out of these binaries, which is why most of it is useless to anyone actually making decisions.
