I agree with Tom Nichols that LA was a canny choice for Trump to create his riot. I fear that his birthday parade might be a continuation of this strategy. He wanted to create a crisis in LA a week before his military parade, amp up the fear and anger. He is counting on protestors during his parade; it is such a tempting target made more so …

**AI Pronouns**  
I conversation with an LLM like Claude, I find myself unconsciously anthropomorphizing it. Now calling Claude an it doesn’t feel right. Whatever it is, it certainly isn’t an it! And I can’t justify using the pronouns he or she. LLMs, whatever they might be, are almost certainly not conscious creatures.
