## Is the ideal time to help your teen right before they become one?

How do we build kids’ awareness so they can become safe, savvy consumers and operators and agents of technology — while we also make sure they spend this incredible, unrepeatable stretch of time building the skills that matter most: attention, emotional awareness, compassion, communication, creativity, critical thinking? The very capacities that we have good reason to worry that technology use could degrade or circumvent.

This new post looks at why ages 10-14 may be the most overlooked, and most powerful, moment to help kids build the awareness and agency they'll need to navigate the world they're growing up in.

We also start to explore how we can prepare young adolescents to flourish IRL _and_ in relationship to technology. Not either extreme, but a powerful blend of both.
