My supplement stack, in order of importance

Supplement #1: 8 hours of unconsciousness. Every night. Same time. It does more than anything I’ve ever been pitched at a conference.

Supplement #2: Walking outside with a 4-legged, 60-pound accountability partner. She has no idea what metabolic health is. She has never missed a session.

Supplement #3: Exposed skin pointed at the sky. Duration: 10 to 15 minutes. Complexity: zero. I just stand there.

Supplement #4: Water. Room temperature. Nothing added.

Consistent

You walked again today… because you walk most days, and today was one of them. Consistent.
You lifted this week, the same as last week, the same as the week before. Nothing dramatic. You didn’t try to PR. You added a little weight when the old weight stopped being hard, and you will do it again in a month. Consistent.
You went to bed at a reasonable hour last night, and the night before, and you will tonight. And the same holds true for most nights. Consistent.
You ate real food you bought.

I haven’t really wanted to touch my phone. all I want to do is sleep, not be awake for the pain and constant nausea.
I sit here connected to an IV pole, my new reality. I press the button for pain medication, but it’s never enough. but it’s also too much. I don’t want to sleep all day. become a zombie.

Stop diagnosing yourself with a label you read on the internet. You’re not a narcissist for setting a boundary, codependent for caring, or broken because you struggle. You’re a human being in a culture that medicalizes being alive.

A hug is not just affection.
It can lower stress hormones, calm the nervous system, and slow a racing heart.
Strong social connection has also been linked to getting sick less often.
You are not too old, too busy, or too cool for this.
Hold the people you love a few seconds longer. It is medicine.
