Bouquet making in the heat today.

A flurry of orders from my website, keeping my hands busy and my heart full.

Each year I wait patiently for our bats to return.

It’s usually around mid June but this year there was no sign. We were beginning to worry.

We’d had our house painted last year, had the smell of the new paint affected their return?

Then last night, as I waited patiently at dusk, there they were.

It’s a maternity roost, so important and I’m so thrilled to have them back with us.
