There’s so much sensuality (in both senses of the word!) in these poems, and a repeating image of embrace and warmth, closeness. It’s interesting how different the beauty looks and feels when you sit with it, rather than barely acknowledge it in a passing glance. It feels so much more real. Thank y’all for sharing 🩵

My favorite lines:
their delicate skirts wrapping me in fragrance,
for you to turn from the noise,
for you to be.
Tissue thin,
Like confetti scattered,
head heavy with promise
*I wonder if there might be a cento in all of these flower poems just waiting to bloom…

These were so beautiful 🤍
The last one by Abbie really turned my attention to the fleeting beauty of a flower.

Every poem ruffled my feelings. I plucked out the lines from each that spoke to me (see below) and realized the combination could be its own poem. Beautiful writing, thank you <3

even though i read these poems through a translator, that did not prevent me from admiring those who, while admiring flowers themselves, were able to capture and preserve those moments so beautifully )
