Comments - Nothing is Too Small to be Wondered About

Poetry Outdoors

Requiem for a blue tit

I miss you,

my one legged tiny friend.

You came to the feeder on my kitchen window

we hung out

in the summer,

we enjoyed the autumn air

Then winter came

and I didn't see you

When spring came

I rejoiced at you return

Admiring your survival skills.

The following spring

I looked for you every day

Eager to salute you....

I love how your poem speaks to the relationships we can form through our hearts and spirits.

I love how you captured this simple encounter while speaking to depth of connection you experienced with its brief visits. Beautiful!
