This is going to be controversial - but if you are moving to Southern Europe for the “slow life” but paying your taxes elsewhere (meaning you are not financially contributing to the infrastructure of the country you are benefiting from) I’d argue you have an extractionist/colonialist relationship with your new residence . It’s not OK to benefit without contributing. Especially in economies that run at the backs of young people working poverty wages, the same young people whose taxes finance pensions, healthcare, roads, schools, bridges etc…
I had „article” in my tasks for my days off and was sooo excited about finally having time to finish my next piece for substack just to realise I have put this task there a month ago and it means an actual publication deadline that I forgot about 👩🏼🦯➡️no days off for the wicked
didn’t want to go to the gym but remembered the existence of a whole genre of propaganda set to make girls fear gaining muscles and becoming buff….went to the gym
If I take you places outside of touristy areas and you say they’re too poor or scary or dirty then you are never again allowed to say you wish for “authentic experience” while traveling

My sympathy for men as a group is not exactly overflowing. It is a leaking tap, at best.
But Clavicular got to me.
Until a month ago, I knew nothing about him. Then I read an essay about how far he had taken looksmaxxing, and since then he has occupied a teeny tiny corner of my mind.
Like, there are books I should be thinking about and vegetables in my fridge living out their final days, but here we are smh
Poor people won’t stop having kids. It doesn’t matter if rich people tell them they shouldn’t, other poor people tell them they shouldn’t or other people who were previously poor but are now rich tell them they shouldn’t.
Any attempt to dictate what they should do is just a thought experiment; where we examine current conditions, aggrega…
POOR PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE KIDS

POOR PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE KIDS POOR
PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE KIDS
and I'm speaking as someone who comes from a poor family.
I have realised I cannot be around people who are not impressed by anything
There's an obsession in personal style right now: the belief that the ultimate goal is a perfectly curated wardrobe, a signature style, and a cohesive "outfit formula" you can replicate. It's a trap.
The actual dream is simpler: clothes you love wearing, enough ease in your wardrobe to get dressed without overthinking, and the freedom to stop treating your style like a performance.

can we please stop protein-ifying everything?
[No protein target can measure the comfort of eating a family recipe passed down through generations. No calorie tracker can quantify the joy of sharing birthday cake with friends. No wellness influencer can calculate the value of sitting around a crowded table while relatives argue, laugh, and tell stories late into the night.
