It's to give wallpaper and patterns a try - there's not much that will transform your home so easily!

You know that song ‘wear sunscreen’…?

And it gives lots of advice… much of it he believes you’ll ignore, but at the end it comes back to ‘trust me on the sunscreen’… well, I’ve got that running around in my head as I’m starting to write what has certainly for me, been one of the most transformational parts of getting to grips with decorating Admirals!

And, as always… a reminder that I’m in no way a professional interior designer, and my advice should almost certainly be disregarded as poppycock, but here it is anyway and you can choose what to do with it!

In my first house, I was learning about colour - but you can see from the pictures below of that place, that there’s almost nothing in the way of pattern, beyond the cheap old Persian rugs littered about the place!

Partly, it was a budget thing. There’s no getting around it that pattern, whether in the form of fabric, or wallpaper, comes at a cost - though there are of course many ways to do it cheaply!
