‘Greg… you should do a TV programme about Admirals’

Well folks, ever since I took on the old girl, there’s been two fairly consistent suggestions from very lovely and well meaning followers, about how to help fund the renovations here at Admirals - indeed, were I to get a fiver for each time - the house would be finished by now and I’d be sat on a grand pot of cash a bit like Scrooge McDuff… so I thought I’d offer my thoughts on why neither of these have happened…

A very, very brief piece on the BBC courtesy of my pal Wayne aka ‘the TV carpenter’, talking about my experience of getting lead poisoning… a full days tidying and cleaning to get the house ‘tv ready’ followed by a days filming… Of course being the BBC it’s not something they would pay me to do… and even more wonderfully, there was no mention of my social media handle or how people might find me etc. I didn’t expect them to (but of course rather hoped they might - I shared lots of my footage with them to use all for free), but just wanted to give a bit of flavour as to why being on the telly isn’t short hand for huge success - Total new followers I gained from it & grand profits made… zero! But, hopefully it did at least stop a few people breathing in lead fumes!
