I love stories, whether they’re told around a kitchen table or in books, art, design, music, film, or tv. I’m a storyteller, too! I like to write, create art, and talk w/ friends.

Did The Very Best Writers Get Hired Back?
Or is it AI? I saw the early showing of Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day and I have hope for TV and MOVIES again! This action film has a plot so fresh that it makes me think the best writers are back in Hollywood! I’m terrible at noticing the negative points in a story unless I can relate. So wha…
2026 May playlist.
May means Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day is a lot.
Being a daughter or motherless, being a mother, or not, or being estranged from your mother are just a handful of ways the day can be a lot. This is the stuff that spoke to me this month and made the days around Mother’s Day make sense. It’s a little bit dreamy pop, a little …

If you like the stuff from Snowcuffs, they’re a Chicago band and could use your attention, purchases, or attendance at a show. Troy and I saw them over Memorial Day weekend. They were dreamy and hypnotic live. Marty Blick is a good Chicago artist, too. I couldn’t not put his song Neighborhood Cat, on here. His voice has kind of a sublime Morrissey feel. Plus topic choice for the song is 👌🏽.
This month offered a lot of rehashed covers, and a lot of 90’s rocker band castaways. I like a bunch of it, but there are also some things that just didn’t need remade. (I’m looking at you Delta Dawn.) You’ll only find the cover of Steal Away from KU and some new stuff from All-American Rejects on here. I recommend you check out iTunes new music 🎵 playlists if you want to hear the covers or the new stuff from the old bands.
