To let go of the shore, we must grieve what has been known. What was. What has felt comfortable and safe. This is the work that saves us - because that way we have been accustomed to living - it is leaving. Read it again - it is leaving; feel what that feels like. You can learn to swim or you can try to hold on and get washed away with it. Grief is the art of letting go. It’s the only way we are able to. It is the transitional space between two realities and it is where we are living as a collective in this moment.
