It’s a normal weekday morning, and I’m dashing about the house packing my bag to head to the office. As I sit down to tie my shoes, three (of my five) daughters pile onto the nearby rocking chair and begin singing together Palestrina’s Illumina Oculos Meos, a round written by this master of polyphony in the 1500’s. At once, so much flashed through my mind: “This is so awesome” … “This is so odd” … “This is something that every family could do.”
