Hello to you and April! March went by rather quickly here. Maybe it was the long-anticipated thawing of winter and promise of warmer days ahead. Both have been quite welcome!

Spring was always my favorite time of year to explore Lower Antelope Canyon, in Arizona. The ease of planning safe hikes ahead of summer’s monsoon season and rising temperatures played a role. Plus, the crowds were generally smaller (except during spring break).

From a photography standpoint, the light throughout the canyon seemed more dramatic on the wavy walls. Enough to cause dramatic shadows in certain corridors, while also picking up the smallest textures and details. A gradient of stunning colors, from the trail up to the sky opening, were on full display too.

I always find myself pulling from my April and May photo archives when sharing images from this special place. Here’s hoping you enjoy this wallpaper view over the next month.
