Appalachian Pantheon Part 7: Thor

Did you know that honeybees keep a temperature of 92-93 degrees Fahrenheit in their central brood nest at all times no matter what temperature it is outside?

Did you know that honeybees taste with their feet?

Did you know that herbs and spices come from different parts of the plant? Typically herb refers to the leaves of a plant while spice refers to any other part of a plant used to season food.

It has been theorized that this odd legend actually represents an old harvest myth. According to this interpretation Thor represents the weather conditions, Sif represents the wheat in the field and Loki represents the harvest.
