The sweet scent of rain
carried by the wind

Perhaps lightness feels so freeing
because its an undefined state
and heaviness feels so dense
because its a defined state.
In the openness to anything,
we become everything.
In the rigidity to hold on,
we collapse all that could have been instead.
As I learn to sit with that
which just is
I become that which no longer was,
or has to be,
but just is.
The more I hold on to life,
the more it slips by me
- a sand of containment,
slips time through my fingers
as I grasp tighter.
I let go
and find the magic
which binds the sand together
I surrender
and feel the sweet scent of peace
permeate
I smell the unnamed sweetness
in the notes of you that linger.
I want to tell you all of the peace that surrounds
but in that process
I risk putting a word to that which cannot be held around
so I hope you too feel the sweet scent
breeze through your skin,
and hope the wind carries back your answer -
does it too make you melt
and surrender in its everythingness, ?
