To all the mothers who are in different places to their children,

Whilst you may not be able to see us in person,
the way you see into our souls as a person,
makes us whole and warm

your shine lets cold days fall as snowflakes
onto an earth you taught us to walk upon and kneel into

your love shelters the caves we feel safe inside,
and your heart bounds and leaps onto our chest,
as we take excited steps outside these caves,

your skin warms ours,
even if it be through the gentle breeze,
to remind us,
we are not alone,
you are with me,
and I hope
you too can feel my smile rumble through your laughter
when you are tickled by the moments we continue to share,
together in person or not,
but together in heart

as a reflection of your love,
