If i were to die tomorrow, what would it mean?
a poignant question, with a simple answer.

I hope it would mean, a life looked back at fondly.
A life where the cells that sustained its health were filled with vitality,
bursting with joy, and warmth, and love,
where all the cells bubble with laughter,
in waves,
and then all at once,
moments of friendship and love
where the laughter erupts out of your body,
ready to experience and add to the world outside.

I hope it would mean a life well cooked,
with the simple ingredients of
love,
laughter,
warmth,
joy,
- a meal that nourishes.

I hope to make decisions that do not require me to exchange life.

“I won’t be able to write from the grave
so let me tell you what I love:
oil, vinegar, salt, lettuce, brown bread, butter,
cheese and wine, a windy day, a fireplace,
the children nearby, poems and songs,
a friend sleeping in my bed -
and the short northern lights."

- Fanny Howe, I won't be able to write from the grave
