People who think Israel controls America should explain today’s news.
The United States just cut a deal with Iran. Opposition leader Yair Lapid, who supported the war from the start, called it “a disaster.” He said the diplomatic management “couldn’t have been worse. Everything that shouldn’t have happened, happened.”
Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, had his arm blown off by a grenade while sheltering in a roadside bomb shelter near the Nova festival.
Terrorists loaded him, bleeding, onto a pickup truck and took him hostage. He survived nearly 11 months in captivity before being executed in a tunnel.
These are not extreme positions.
If they sound extreme to you, think carefully about what that reveals.
In 2005, Israel removed settlers from Gaza by force.
Some refused to leave.
IDF soldiers dragged them out of their homes kicking and screaming.
Jewish bodies were exhumed from cemeteries so they wouldn't be desecrated after the withdrawal.
Think about that.
A country that exhumes its own dead to honor a withdrawal agreement. Then tell me about Israel's uncompromising attitude.
Zionism didn't come from boardrooms of the privileged.
It was ripped from the reality of pogroms, inquisitions, and a people systematically slaughtered in every country they ever tried to call home. To frame the return to an ancestral homeland after centuries of relentless persecution as "colonialism" is to completely invert history. It was never about conquest. It is, and always has been, about survival.
