Awareness & Joy 😁

Hola, Substackers! Como esta? Adam Bigelson here. And I thought for today, I have a couple thoughts, actually. One has to do with awareness, and the other one has to do with joy, something that's important for us.

Awareness

As people come across us, and I think I've said this before, people say things to us like, "Why haven't I found you before? Where have you been?" You know, you've got David Parker and Don Lester wrote the book, What Really Makes You Ill? and they did research for 10 years and didn't come across us. So part of it is awareness. And this is part of the reason I'm doing this with the Substack experience.

You guys can help me generate some awareness. The last podcast that I just posted here on Substack, the one that we did with Renette Sinem and Chris John Northrup, Anna was there, and Josh was there, and Dr. Marazel was there. It was awesome.

Joy and Information Filtering

Why is there so much incorrect information circulating? How do we filter the information we listen to, and the information we share? Annnnnnd…..most importantly….what is important for our health and wellness?

It really does amaze me how humans love drama. It seems much more popular for people to listen to the ridiculousness of graphene, hydrogel and nano technology instead of how important joy may be for our health. With regards to this information, if people followed Socrates three filter test this misinformation would not be shared.

As far as movies are concerned, I would much rather watch an action movie than someone peacefully talking about the importance of joy. However, life is not a movie. I don't know about you, but I would rather have less drama in my daily life. This is one reason movies can be good for us, to help us get out of our head and get into a totally different reality for a short period of time. Unfortunately, these days the things that are going on in the world just seem like a bad movie. This is why I feel it's important to share the significance of joy with regards to our health and wellness.

Finding Balance

Balance is very important to our health and wellness. When things happen that irritate us, we can take that energy and channel it into something productive. At one point during the pandemic, I would just look at the news to get irritated enough to pull the trigger on the tasks I've been procrastinating. I was able to use irritation as a tool to generate some energy for me. At the same time, irritation, frustration and anger can give us a good reason to focus on some joy.

As I work with people that have had consultations from us, one big part of the homework is a minimum of 10 minutes of joy every day. Recently someone I spoke with about this realized that there was not as much joy in their days as they thought. So there's some homework for you… Are you getting your 10 minutes of joy every day? Can you make a list of 10 things that bring you joy? For many people that's very easy, and for others it’s very difficult.

Homework

Sooooooo… I have some homework for you.

  1. Try using Socrates three filter test and let me know how that works for you🤔.
  2. Please help us generate some awareness and dispel some of the ridiculousness by sharing the podcast we did with Reinette and Christiane🙏.
  3. What are you doing today for your 10 minutes of joy? And if you can, list for me in the comments 10 things that bring you joy😁.

Best!

Adam
